At VP Swimschool, a lesson never has more than two children. The instructor is in the water, next to your child, and adapts every exercise to their age, their level and their mood that day.
The water at the Bains de Cressy is heated to 34 °C, so cold never adds to apprehension: the child stays relaxed and ready to learn.
Lessons take place at the Bains de Cressy, Route de Loëx 99, in Confignon. Up to and including age 5, a lesson lasts 30 minutes at CHF 60; over age 5, it lengthens to 45 minutes. Two children of a compatible level can also share a 30-minute semi-private lesson, and every format comes as a pack of 10 lessons, valid for 3 months from purchase.

Two children, compatible level
Two children of a compatible level share the same instructor for 30 minutes. The lesson always has exactly two swimmers.

Each “Request this lesson” prepares a WhatsApp message: it is a request, not a booking. We reply to agree on a time with you; the booking is only confirmed once paid or covered by a pack credit. Packs are valid for 3 months from purchase; cancellation 24 hours or more before the lesson: credited back; within 24 hours or no-show: counted as used. Lessons and packs are non-refundable. Your child’s progress is organised in five steps: Poisson (Fish), Loutre (Otter), Pieuvre (Octopus), Dauphin (Dolphin) and Requin (Shark). Enrolled families follow it in the VP Swimschool app, currently in private testing, by invitation.

Children’s lessons start from age 2½, in a 30-minute format up to and including age 5. Over age 5, lessons last 45 minutes.
In a private lesson, the whole session is devoted to your child: the instructor, in the water beside them, adapts every exercise to their level and their mood that day. In a semi-private lesson, they share the lesson with just one other child of a compatible level. VP Swimschool does not offer group lessons to individuals.
No. The one-to-one lesson starts from the child’s actual level, even if they have never put their head under water. If your child is afraid of water, see also our fear of water page.
Yes, in a 30-minute semi-private lesson, provided their levels are compatible: CHF 90 in total per lesson, CHF 850 in total for a pack of 10. If their levels are too far apart, two private lessons are a better fit.
Times are offered on weekdays and at weekends. Tell us your availability in your request: we will suggest a time.
Let us know 24 hours or more before the lesson: it is credited back. A cancellation within 24 hours, or a no-show, is counted as used. Packs of 10 lessons are valid for 3 months from purchase.
Your child’s entry is included in the price of the lesson. If you wish to use the facilities, you pay for your own entry.
