Swimming for schools and nurseries in Geneva

A swimming programme built for your institution: small groups, an instructor in the water with the children and pedagogical follow-up, based on the capacity and slots actually available.

Bains de Cressy, Confignon — indoor pool under a glass roof, water at 34 °C

01Institutions

For organisations that welcome children

Every institution has its own timetable, ages and constraints. We build the programme with you, with no fixed format.

  • Nurseries and pre-schools

A first introduction to the water, at toddler scale, in water at 34 °C: water play, confidence, first movements.

  • Private schools

A swimming cycle built into the school year or offered as an activity, with progress tracked from one session to the next.

  • International schools

Lessons given in French or in English, depending on the class.

  • Educational and after-school organisations

Regular sessions outside school hours, over a term or a full year.

02Three programmes

Start simply, then build for the long term

  1. 01 · Discovery Programme

    A first introductory cycle

To discover our teaching approach and assess your children’s needs together, before choosing what comes next.

  2. 02 · Term Programme

    Regular sessions over a term

Teaching goals adapted to each group, tracked aquatic progress and a report at the end of the cycle.

  3. 03 · Annual Programme

A partnership over the school year

A recurring organisation, progressive goals from one term to the next and regular reports for the school’s management.

Duration, number of children per session, venue, price and slots are agreed with you and priced on request, based on actual availability.

03Our teaching

Individual teaching, at the scale of a school

Small groups
Small groups, with an instructor in the water alongside the children. The number of children per session is set with you, according to their age and ease in the water.
Pedagogical follow-up
Each child progresses skill by skill, from getting used to the water to swimming strokes, through the five levels of the Aquatic Passport.
Tailored organisation
Days, frequency, duration and venue are agreed together, subject to the slots actually available at the Bains de Cressy or in the pool you provide.

Early-years partner

Partner since 2018

Since 2018, VP Swimschool has worked with TotUP, a network of private nurseries and primary schools in French-speaking Switzerland, on swimming lessons for its children.

A long-term partnership, built session after session: this is the model we offer to new institutions.

05Where to start

Three ways to move forward with us

  1. A · Request a programme

For a term or a school year

Tell us the number of children, their ages and your availability: we send you a programme and a quote, with no commitment.

  2. B · Become a partner

    A long-term partnership

Introduce your institution: we review every application and reply to you personally. Every new partnership is subject to our approval.

    Introduce your institution
  3. C · Institution access

    The space for approved partners

A read-only dashboard for partner institutions exists in the VP Swimschool app, still in testing. Access is opened by VP Swimschool, by invitation, once the partnership is approved: there is no open sign-up.

The app is in private testing.

06Water safety

Water Safety Program

We are working on a water safety programme for children, which a company, a foundation or an institution could support. It is a concept at this stage: no funding and no partnership has been secured.

The Water Safety Program

Tell us about your school

Three steps, a few minutes. Your request commits neither your institution nor VP Swimschool: a programme is only confirmed after written agreement on slots and terms.

07Questions

Swimming for schools and nurseries: your questions

From what age can children take part?

Our lessons welcome children from the age of two and a half. For nurseries, the programme starts with getting used to the water, in a pool at 34 °C.

What is the difference between the Discovery, Term and Annual Programmes?

The Discovery Programme is a first cycle to discover our approach and assess the children’s needs. The Term Programme offers regular sessions with a report at the end of the cycle. The Annual Programme organises the partnership over the whole school year, with regular reports.

Where do the lessons take place?

At the Bains de Cressy in Confignon, or in the pool you provide, depending on available slots. The venue is agreed with you before the programme starts.

How many children per session?

The number is agreed with the institution, according to the children’s age and ease in the water, always with an instructor in the water. We propose it in the programme.

What does it cost for an institution?

All programmes are priced on request: the price depends on the programme, the number of children, the frequency and the venue. We send you a proposal after your request, with no commitment.

How do we become a partner institution?

Send a request through our partnership form. Every partnership is approved by VP Swimschool. Access to the app can then be opened by invitation; there is no open sign-up.
